Watched the whole MacAfee piece. Interesting Harbaugh sharing spotlight with McDaniel. I think it shows a lot of respect for McDaniel and that Harbaugh is so self assured he has no concern letting McDaniel get his time. Also McDaniel nice blend of joking with Harbaugh and showing respect back. Good signs.

Also, Harbaugh was asked a softball question about interviewing players at the combine and does he focus on personality or football knowledge. He completely ignored the question and talked about what the interview with McDaniel was like and what he learned from it, which was far more interesting. But I don't know if he didn't hear the question or did it on purpose. And everyone pretended like it never happened. He is a quirky guy, for sure.

I don’t think McDaniel stays past year 2. If Harbaugh decides to retire after two more seasons and we win a SB in part because of McDaniel, then sure we should consider it.
