Which would you rather have at C: Tyler Linderbaum or Connor McGovern? Linderbaum is considered the better run blocker, while McGovern is tabbed as better in pass pro. Some might argue that Lamar Jackson holds onto the ball too long, maybe contributing to Lindy's reduced rating in pass pro. Lindy also would come at a higher price. Vote "other" if you want us to sign a different FA C:

Does it matter which one we'd prefer?
Pretty sure that Joe Hortiz has his budget for every player he'd be interested in signing. Like-- as a hypothetical example-- he'd be "in" on Linderbaum at up to $20mil/yr, but would drop out of the bidding after that.
This is what happened with Davonte Adams last spring-- Joe was interested and made an offer, but the Rams threw more money at Adams than Joe felt made sense to go, considering the $ needed to address the multitude of other needs he was looking at.
We have no control over the variable of what other teams are willing to pay for a player we covet.
And we have no control over how much, or little, any particular player would like to become a Charger.
But other than that? It's completely up to us!

I think there are at least 4 FA that can fit the bill or they can trade for one. I would love to not have the highest paid center in the history of the NFL for cap flexbility but the only position that rivals this for importance is edge so we will see where we get.

I want the best in pass pro, which is why I voted for McGuv. However, if the Bolt Brass, after careful analysis of Lindy's film, determine that Jackson holding onto the rock too long too often has indeed affected Lindy's pass pro rating, AND have Lindy still rated very high, AND if Lindy's price tag isn't exorbitant, AND if they determine Lindy is the best overall fit for McD's scheme, go ahead and sign him!Originally posted by Velo View PostPollcat is back.

Can you throw in the Ex Was Center?
Because I might take him.
Not sure the Price but what if it's #1 24mil #2 18mil # 3 13mil?
But the production all things considered is somewhat similar.

We will not get any of those, once again Joe Horrid (in spending big money) will become Scrooge McDuck.
We get cheap replacements that become again bottom 5 as IOL unit.
We have wasted Rivers career and we are doing same to Herbert.

He was the 12th highest graded center and graded out higher than McGovern last year.Originally posted by Eurobolt View Post
