Fantastic news. Like others have already said, now we can draft one for the future in the mid rounds.

So many teams need a Center. Hortiz was smart to strike fast.

Seems like a bargain? I know he is not Lindebaum but he is supposed to be a good center
Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

Not Linderbaum but above average, reasonable and has left us with more money to address other needs.

Heat - just using PFF as a guide

          Linderbaum 5/40
          Cade Mays 24
          Luke Fortner 18
          Connor McGovern 15
          Bradley Bozeman 40

          Tyler Biadasz 11

So from Bozeman to Biadasz would be quite the upgrade. Biadasz will probably be under 50% of Linderbaum, probably 65-70% of McGovern and might be higher than Mays or Fortner - but thats not bad to be at an AAV of 10m

Hortiz has got a solid capable OC - now he needs to figure out one OG and fill in Edge and a few other area but his number 1 goal was completed

I would label him “good”. Not “above average”.
11th in the league to me warrants it.

It is a massive upgrade to what we had and left us with a lot of money to spend - I'll take it.

I guess his knee and ankle injuries from late last season checked out. Guy has been durable throughout his career and projects as a huge upgrade at a POExtremeN

Any body is an upgrade over Bozeman.

Don't know what Hortiz's plan is, but he has proven he knows what he's doing. To get a team who's paying a franchise QB $100M under the cap with a playoff caliber roster is remarkable.

I mean yeah of course it’s an upgrade to Bozeman, but a little underwhelming?

I wanted nothing but the best for Herbert. Kinda over trying to find a “bargain” at this position. Now we have to hope he is fully recovered from his injuries AND use draft capital this year on a future center.

I dunno, not super hyped about it to be perfectly honest. Will wait to see how the rest of our FA money is spent to get better picture. Hopefully we bring in the Bills OG and still draft Ioane or Pregnon. I would feel better about that.

Top 15 C on a good contract not affecting compensatory picks - typical BORING Hortiz deal.

I get it, JH got good deal but I want to see 2 top tier Gs FA now.
