If Biadasz has 10 M/year, how much you give to Zion ? 8 ?

”I am easily satisfied with the very best” is my attitude towards protecting Herbert.
Some fans seemed to be worried about the knee/ankle injury that Biadasz suffered last season. Just FYI, it never even required surgery.

I don't think Coogan is athletic enough. In the 4th, Logan Jones or Brailsford fit the new system better

Good question - maybe 12-14 since he did improve last year and was really good for half a dozen games and is well liked, still only 27

but you make a valid point. Biadasz is only a couple years older -- much better PFF ranking

From my research as I have not ever really focused on this guy when he played for the Cowboys or Redskins.....

Biadasz has missed 8 games during his career. He has been pretty durable and is not a Jared Gaither/Mehki Becton type guy who misses games alla time with minor stuff. I read he had a pretty serious ankle injury during Cowboy tenure and came back faster than expected and played well, too.

He injured his ankle and knee Christmas Day. No reports of surgery being performed. Team has been very quiet about his injuries and rehab since it happened.

Redskins OL kind of tanked after he went down by most of the metrics. So for Redskins fans saying he was declining, even if that is true, he was elevating the play of that OL. (BTW one of the OL experts broke down his game last year against the Broncos and he said he played better than any other center against that front in 2025.

I am sure McGwire and Hortiz are aware of his health status and if anything looks chancey, I bet they structured this so it is easy to walk away from, like Becton's deal.

Interesting bit.... It was widely reported Biadasz went to the Bears first. According to Florio, that never happened and if it had happened it would have caused some sort of tampering issue (I don't pretend to understand those rules, it is what Florio said). So Chargers were his first and only visit.

I am happy with this upgrade at center and the money it leaves to address other glaring needs. We basically traded Becton for Biadasz, money and cap wise
Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

Maybe this opens the door for us to perhaps draft Conor Lew in the 3rd or 4th round?

I would be down with that. Give Lew ample time to heal from his ACL and get ready for NFL. I do believe he is the best center in this draft and that would have been clear without his injury

                    Concerned about the knees.
missed opportunity to really hit a home run with Linderbaum despite the "value"
Tells me we're resigning Zion AND Oweh.
In Hortiz and McDaniel I trust.

I just don't see it that way
You don't overpay for Zion or Oweh just because you got perceived value for Biadasz

Each decision really should be a decision on its own merits -
Oweh should have a cap, within reason. If the cap is say 20 - 25+ is too much
Zion - same thing if he hits 18+ - that is too much for truly, how he has played

I think Oweh is closer to Josh Sweat than say even Nik Bonitto -- if you have Mack and Tuli, find a player that is good but also dollar wise, makes sense
Greenard makes 18m -- Oweh should be no more than 20 to 21

I asked AI why Biadasz (man do I have trouble spelling his name) was released. Here is what the cold hearted computer says, FWIW: Reasons for Tyler Biadasz's Release

                        Financial Considerations
                        • The Washington Commanders released Tyler Biadasz to save approximately $2.8 million against the salary cap for the 2026 season.
                        • Biadasz had a cap hit of nearly $11 million, and his release incurs an $8.1 million dead money charge.
                        Performance and Fit
                        • Despite being a solid performer, Biadasz's release was surprising as he had started 31 games over two seasons and earned a Pro Bowl s******** in 2022.
                        • The decision appears to be influenced by a shift in the team's offensive philosophy under new coordinators, which may require a different type of center.
                        Roster Changes
                        • The Commanders are undergoing significant roster changes after a disappointing season, and Biadasz's departure opens up a starting position on the offensive line.
                        • Nick Allegretti, who performed well in Biadasz's absence, is now positioned as the best center on the roster, but the team may still seek additional talent through free agency or the draft.

The combination of financial strategy, performance evaluation, and roster restructuring led to the decision to release Biadasz.
Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

To me Oweh is not a complete edge player, more of a pass rush specialist. His career has also been anything but consistent. To me these 25-27 million rumors are nothing I want a part of
