Yes McGovern got “only” 13M a year but 32M guranteed is a big deal. Players often don’t get the backend of their contracts. The guaranteed money is very important.Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

He only practiced at Center during training camp. His main issues were his snapping which makes sense since he never really played there before. And maybe it’s just my memory, I don’t remember him getting as many training snaps there as Boze.Originally posted by Jack Burton View PostHarbaugh loves Zion so much he moved him to Center……and he was mediocre there too….

Maybe certain players like Zion will take less AAV a year if they get more guaranteed money?Originally posted by Heatmiser View PostYes McGovern got “only” 13M a year but 32M guranteed is a big deal. Players often don’t get the backend of their contracts. The guaranteed money is very important.

I know. It’s just the fact they need to move him. If he was “good” nobody would ever consider moving him.Originally posted by Xenos View Post

I don't put too much stock in any of the decisions that happened under Roman, Mattlock, Fisk getting featured in the pass game, Dissly getting featured in the pass game, on and on and on, there is too much stupid shit to rehash all of it...you want to key in on Zion, fine, but a LOT of players looked bad under Roman, even Herbert had stretches, he made Ladd look like a chump last year, it just goes on and on...not saying Zion has been stellar either, but anyone can see that the untapped potential is still there, the work ethic is there, the durability is an ability is there, he doesn't bitch and moan and he's still young, one of the hardest working players on the team and the strongest player on the team, we haven't seen the best of him yet and now when we have the coaches that could bring that out we let him go somewhere else? that just doesn't makes sense to me...Originally posted by Jack Burton View Post

Zion has been mediocre all 4 years in the NFL. Whose fault was it before Roman? I’ve seen 4 years. Thats long enough. It’s never Zions fault. Ever. LOL

I mean Zion started at RG his rookie season and did okay there. You can see the potential and also the inconsistency that rookie season. He then moved back to LG after Feiler was released and then Linsley went down three games in against the Vikings. The pressure up the middle became a big issue after Clapp became Center next to everyone. It probably didn’t help that I also thought Nugent was a poor OL coach too.
