I think that just forces the teams to be more proactive prior to the draft even happening to have their ducks lined up..

Round 2 was 7 min last year and Rounds 3-6, 5 minutes…..teams still executed trades so 8 minutes is plenty of time.

I'm sort of taking this draft off. The wife and I are about to drive to the Georgia coast for a long weekend and a concert Saturday night. I'll be doing the phone check and I hope to see our first rounder by the time we get to the hotel. In Jim & Joe I trust is all I will say. Trading back is my favorite option.

I've read that it will mean that official announcements will be several picks behind, like when pick 19 is announced, picks 20, 21 & 22 will have been made. So I guess that means we will learn from the Tweeterverse what the Chargers pick is while they are officially announcing pick 19 or 20. We'll see.
