Pipeline in Germany Used for Beer

Pipelines have caused a lot of political controversy in America and on an international scale. However, Germany has created one type of underground shipping method that is cause for celebration instead of protest — a beer pipeline. According to Foodbeast, the bars in the Veltines-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany are all connected by a special transport system. But instead of gas or oil, this pipeline delivers beer along an impressive 5-kilometer stretch. The arena has beer storage areas under the bars that hold up to 52,000 liters of ice-cold brew. Different channels are then used to take the beer to its drinkers — at a rate of 14 liters per minute.
