He is not dialing up any pressure. Seems to leave his suspect CB's in single coverage a lot. Doesn't like to bracket WR's over under coverage.

If he can't figure it out and make adjustments IMO he's not the coach for the job. Still wishing we had Wade as DC.

Pagano is toast after this season. Good riddance. Was never inspired by that hiring, and I'm somewhat surprised that we even kept him.

Not defending Pagano since I've been ripping him all day today and yesterday. But when he dials up blitzes, they don't get to the QB. The whole front seven stinks as a whole.

maybe there simply aren't enough starting quality players on defense evey game so far? Coaching can only do so much and we're not getting blown out score-wise despite the big yaeds against us.

I was critical of his blitz design last season, so far it hasn't improved.

The blitzes look like they are pseudo delayed and guys are going at 3/4 speed. Almost like a read and react blitz where they (LB's and DB's) delay and cautiously break on the ball. It's not working.

- aging but still making plays Donnie Edwards
- Jammer in his prime
- Igor when he was still effective

Pagano is missing his young defensive stud (Ingram), another prospect (Teo), and his two guys on the DL (Liuget and Reyes) are underperforming. Not to mention our corners can't seem to cover regardless of pressure up front.

Point is, is Pagano simply not calling the right plays or is the personnel letting him down?

The big issue for me is why Luiget and Reyes aren't playing well? Has Pagano changed dline assignments? It's not like they are making fewer plays, they are making NO plays.Also, moving Weddle like they have has hurt his performance as well.
