Gates came out swinging when he was in his prime he was easily one of the best tight ends to ever dawn a Jersey. I still remember his epic play against the browns where he caught a ball in triple coverage. I love gates. It just hurts seeing him go down like he is. Losing and his body giving up. Just feel bad for him

I think he will end up shocking us this year. I sort of feel like a lot of our players played out of shape over the past few years. I think Lynn may end up getting these guys way more fit. I wouldn't be surprised to see less injuries and our vets play at a higher level just based on fitness. Ive been pretty critical of our fitness under McCoy. We fizzle and cant finish games etc. Always hurt. Gates will be fine this year and the transition to Henry should be seamless. 1200 yards from the TE would be nice.

I wish I could have been alive to actually watch him play. But I wasn't even a twinkle in the eye. Him and fouts man I've watched the old games. One hell of a combo

I want him to get those yards. But with how we've been running our offense gates will see more red zone targets than full field for the most part. That turf toe seems to have zapped him. He just looks like he's always in pain when he's running. If dan feeney and lamp can hwlpnour oline like they have the potential to and we can run the ball for once since 2007. Gates can thrive. But if we have to just pray every play from the pass rush. It'll be the same dance as last year.

Charlie Joiner wasn't sexy, but the way he got open and moved the chains was uncanny. His short game opened up the deep routes for Winslow, JJ, and later, Chandler. Muncie was also a lot of fun to watch. It's virtually impossible to narrow it down to just one.
