"You just take away the scoreboard and watch that game, and there’s no way Tennessee should have beaten us.”
You just take away the Rivers INT.
You just take away the Mathews fumble.

“There was never a sense when that game got close in the fourth that we were going to lose,” says Rivers. “It was, We’re fixing to finish this one. Offensively that’s what we felt, and when we punted and the defense came on, they felt there’s no way they’re going 94 on us. We both had our chances, offense and defense, and didn’t get it done. But the confidence was there.”

Silly. How about you start with the fact that the team is lacking in talent? It's been an issue throughout. And you add in at Tennessee the fact that players were dropping like flies and it exposed the depth issues....why the surprise?
It's nothing more, better players can't solve.

I mean we all know we lack depth. It's not something you can solve in an offseason. You build depth through multiple drafts. It is what it is. The bigger issue IMO is that our front line starters are underachieving, particularly on defense.
