It's a day late, but no matter!

All we hear nowadays is Dean and AG and John. But despite all that, Alex is still the owner. So, a shout out to Mr. Spanos!

I've often been embarrassed by Alex, particularly when he spoke publicly. But I think he recognised when he was becoming more of a liability than an asset, and the team turned around when he handed the reins to Dean. This, along with his rags-to-riches story, demonstrates to me that, for his many faults, his business acumen is spot on.

I hope the Chargers win one for Alex today!

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the situation, but it seems to me that the media keeps threatening to move the team every season and the Spanoses keep reaffirming their commitment to San Diego. And as I see it, if the Spanoses really wanted to leave San Diego they would have done so years ago.

The media doesn't get their information from thin air. And the Spanoses don't exactly grab a mike and say, no matter what, we ain't moving. They just let that threat stay out there. And it's been going on ever since Alex Spanos took over the team. Spanos's owner-mentor was Al Davis.

Even though Klein fucked this team over with JJ and Fred Dean, at least he built Air Coryell.

Alex Spanos had to get out of his own fucking way and hand the team over to Dean in order to succeed. Even with having Bobby Beathard landing in his lap he nearly fucked that situation up until his family stepped in.

I blame Dean not Alex.

Alex got us to the Superbowl. Alex hired the smartest man in football Bobby Beathard.

Ross vs Beathard and Marty vs AJ were on Dean. Expanding Qualcomm instead of replacing it and threatening to move are on Dean.

I am pretty sure Alex promised not to move the team when he bought it but maybe I just imagined that.
