I really love Wade's version of the 34, but Pagano isn't cutting it, which is too bad. Could be the end of the 34 with the Chargers. We might as well, we haven't had a decent pair of 34 OLB's since 2007. Man AJ sucked after 2006.

Wade's 3-4 had Jamal Williams. Pagano's 3-4 has Cam Thomas. For me that's where it begins.

Pagano has a pretty tough gig, this year. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. He has no team speed. He doesn't have any pass rushers and a weak secondary. If he blitzes, they typically don't get to the QB and our secondary is exposed. If he goes dime, our D gets beat by athletic QB's.

Jamal would make Pagano much smarter immediately. Wade is a very good coordinator though.

Why all the hate for Pagano? I think he's done a great job with the (lack of) talent he's had. He's the third best DC we've had post-Arnsparger, after Wade and Rivera.

I liked Pascale a hell of a lot more. Very good DC.

Doesnt matter, Spanos will buy it out in his quest to do whatever it takes to bring a championship to San Diego

You can't tell me Lindsay was a better choice. Or that Pascale couldn't be kept as an advisor for the defense. Especially since Arnsparger was leaving his position as Assistant Head Coach of the Defense

I think it was a personality conflict or maybe Dale felt he was be undermined by having 2 exDCs working beside him.

I remember Marty saying something that it wasnt a right fit and that's why his contract wasnt renewed.
