    Playoffs?? - Wild Card Race

    Yes, I'm talking about playoffs.

    Division Leaders - East-Patriots, North-Bengals, South-Colts, West-Broncos/Chiefs

    Wild Card Leaders:
    Chiefs/Broncos 6-0
    Miami 3-2

    5 teams at 3-3
    NY Jets
    Ravens
    Browns
    Titans
    Chargers

There are 10 games left, and I can honestly see the chargers continue to be in the race.
"...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

It's a little early to start tracking this, nonetheless this is remarkable. Makes those choke jobs against Houston and Tennessee that much harder to swallow.

The fact we're even mentioning the Chargers, playoffs, and 2013 in the the same post after 6 weeks of the season is a testament to how hard Tom Telesco, Mike McCoy, and the entire coaching staff are working every day to make this team competitive.
For the first time in, what, 6 years?, a GM is actively adding and subtracting guys on what seems a daily basis, to make us a better football team. And our coaching staff seems to change plays and schemes from one moment to the next, in order to give us a chance to win.
      I'm enjoying this.

The Head Coach call was a great choice, IMO. Four-and-a-half out of the six games (subtract 2nd-half of of Texans' game and all of the Raiders' game) were pretty damn well-coached, IMO. With two games - Philly and Indy - damn near perfect.

Rivers' "turnaround" can also be attributed to coaching (i.e. scheme), IMO.

This team is NOT overloaded with talent, to say the least. And has had more than their fair share of injuries. In other words, McCoy hasn't had a lot to work with, so you gotta give the coaching staff some major props here.

Agreed. Everything we heard about McCoy scheming to utilize what his players can do rather than forcing players into a scheme they aren't suited for (Norv) is spot on.

If we can win week next with the bye the following, we can look to start getting Brandon Taylor and Ingram back on the defense which should help this team down the stretch. This team needs it's #1 and #3 picks from 2012 playing.

Getting Ingram back would be huge and from what I have heard is recovery is going excellent, but...it's only been 5 months since his injury. Is it really feasible to think he can come back this season and really contribute?

Speaking of Brandon Taylor what is up with him?

He can't be any worse than Gilchrist right?

                  Just keep winning.

I am still going to be hoping KC and Denver (and Oak)drop games and we can catch them. Too early to be worrying about the wildcard still.

We have 6 games left against teams ahead of us, so we really do still control our own destiny. Of course, that will require winning a lot of those games...

Last time Denver was 6-0 they missed the playoffs at 8-8 and we went from 2-3 to the #2 seed at 13-3. Not saying that will happen but.....
