Almost half season MVP. My choice is....

Coach Joe D'Alessandris. How the Bills ever let this guy and his right hand man walk is beyond me. There is a reason why no matter who gets plugged in to this line, the results are positive. And that reason is coaching. This offense goes nowhere without decent blocking. Joe D is delivering that, week after week, with some pretty green and scrubby players. Awesome coach. Lock him up long term and give him lots of money, Spanos.

I don't see how it could be anyone other than Rivers, but I share your admiration for Coach D and would probably rank him #2 or #3. I only say #3 because I think that McCoy, Whisenhunt, Reich and Coach D have all really done a terrific job.

The last pair of oline coaches were horrible and probably the reason Norv got canned. I agree, this new pair is outstanding. I love this new running game, so I'm pretty happy with the new rb coach also.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Woodhead gets Honorable Mention in my list. Spark-Plug and chain mover we were lacking since Sproles. Of course, NOrv would never have used him effectively like McCoy & Wiz have.

MVP stands for Most Valuable Player. A coach isn't a player.

The 2013 Chargers have used 11 different offensive linemen, including nine starters, and yet its offense has put together nine drives lasting at least 10 plays over its past 16 possessions.

This really points out the difference in coaching philosphy. Norv deep long developing pass plays versus McCoy & Wiz getting the quick developing pass play and Rivers is in the top 5 in average yards per pass.
Our oline has suffered injuries under both regimes Norv and McCoy. I do think Coach D is making a difference a the O-line coach pluging in players and the players show themselves well with the exception of R. Ohrnberger who has been bad.
