I have to agree with original poster. We need to have this in our redzone offense. I think it makes everything else easier and is why I am advocating mixing in more Mathews when we are in close. He is our most powerful runner and I think it's time to give him some opportunities in the redzone again. Give defenses more to think about.

Watching the Redzone channel allows you to see a lot of plays inside the 5 throughout the league, and I'm noticing LOTS of teams have trouble punching it in. It's not just the Chargers.

As much as I love Mathews it makes me cringe when we are inside the 5 if he's running it. I think he deserves some opportunities....just double arm hold that ball from now on. I don't think we've had many off RT type runs but with Mathews ability to make guys miss its not a bad option.

I like Woodhead inside the 5. He's hard to see and packs a punch.

i've never seen us in a jumbo package, whether goalline or short yardage in any game this season. Both Mathews and McClain are hardly ever in on redzone plays either. very few and far between.
