So, what kind of numbers will Manning put up against our defense?

Not asking for a prediction on the game score, just how many yards passing, TDs and interceptions Manning will have against our defense this week.

    Go!

Similar numbers to what Rodgers put up on Chicago.

His backup will throw for over 400 yards, 3 TDs, and 1 INT.

                But this is more "dramatic"!

If the game becomes a tennis match I could see over 900 yards in passing between the two teams. Welker running free in the secondary has to be a worry and they have a big TE that we don't match up with. Both their WRs have decent size and our starting CBs (assuming Patrick starts) are both under 6'. If either team can run the ball effectively then that will obviously change things. Denver has done a much better job against the run than we have.

Everyone moves the ball well against our D between the 20's... Limit Denver possessions by getting offensive first downs, and finishing long drives with points. If we do this, the Denver numbers will be 'meh'... If we go 3-out 3 or 4 times, LOOKOUT!

We don't have a nickel that has quick feet or speed to contain Welker, and TE's regardless of team always gives us fits. Our secondary doesn't play with any phyiscality to intimidate WR's on those quick crossing routes. None of this abodes well for us. Then on the other hand teams have scored on Denver. So I could see both teams having 900 yards plus in passing.

If there is any glimmer of hope it would be for us to control the ball with the running game and have our defense on the sideline as much as we can. If this happens then hopefully Manning doesn't get in the rythm and we can squezze out a victory.

This isn't the same Charger D that had Mannings number when he was with the Colts. We don't have that Cooper type at LB to call out the Defensive adjustments, and we don't have the pass rush presence that we had with Phililps and Merriman, and we don't have a talented secondary like when Jammer was good, Cromartie a freak, and slide bonehead Drayton Florence to the slot. We don't have the personnel to match up. I am also thinking we don't have the coaching defensively either Pango doesn't match up to Wade Phillips or Ron Rivera in terms of ability to game plan and scheme.

If his ankle is healed up, I can see Julius Thomas running wild against Weddle. Weddle got schooled last week.
