OT: Powderblues Spambot Defense

Just wanted to let you all know that we currently have close to 500 banned IPs and Emails. There is a constant threat from spambots trying to gain access to the forum in order to spam. We currently have the best anti-spambot software out there installed and thats why we have been spam free from the get go. But Captain has informed me that the largest spambot software in the world has been created and has downloaded the current program we are using. So its possible we could be breached sometime in the near future.

We will do whatever is necessary to keep this forum spam free. Even if it cost money to do so.

Just a heads up. If you see spam and its not instantly removed by a mod report the post so that we will be informed by email. Also if we come under attack just know we are doing what we can to keep the spam under control. If we didnt have the current defense system this forum would have been loaded with spam months ago.

I don't know. Not sure how DB's and OLB can be expected to make any impact without Vaughn Martin on the line.
