SAN DIEGO -- For the second year in a row, the Los Angeles ChargersNew Orleans SaintsArizona Cardinals for two days of joint practice last year, including a day at Qualcomm Stadium and a second practice at Chargers Park, before playing the Cardinals in an exhibition game at Qualcomm.
The two practices came off with little fighting, and both players and coaches praised the work both teams got done during the training sessions.
Joint practices have become almost an annual occurrence for the Saints -- including two sets of them last year, at New England and at Houston.
And the Saints are probably even more eager than usual to take part of their camp on the road this year since they will be holding training camp at home in Metairie, La., for the first time in four years. They spent the past three summers in West Virginia.
New Orleans also took its training camp on location to Southern California in 2011, when the Saints practiced for a week in Oxnard.
