Williams, Stuckey and Verrett start TC on the PUP list

    When did Stuckey get hurt?

    --
As expected, Los Angeles Chargers first-round draft pick Mike Williams will start training camp on the active physically unable to perform (PUP) list as he rehabs from a lower back disc herniation. Williams is joined on the active PUP list by cornerback Jason Verrett (knee) and safety Darrell Stuckey. Players on the PUP list count against the 90-man roster and can be activated at any time before final roster cuts.

Glad we have good depth at WR and DB... Hope they all get healthy soon.

Hopefully with Stuckey out someone else, who can provide meaningful snaps on O or D, steps up as a leader on ST. Not to minimize his contributions to our horrendous ST but it would be nice to free up that roster spot.

That's the Bolts we know and love.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I'm disappointed with Verrett, I didn't realize his injury would carry into training camp.  I thought it was an off season precaution.

Well, we won't see Williams until the season...

On #Chargers WR Mike Williams: He's feeling much better. Doing some running today at practice. They just don't want any setbacks. No rush.

Seattle Seahawks second-round pick Malik McDowell was involved in an ATV accident and is not present at the team's training camp.

Coach Pete Carroll told reporters Sunday that the accident happened a couple of weeks ago. McDowell was placed on the reserve/did not report list. The Michigan State product remains in Michigan recovering from the injury.

Carroll did not specify the type of injury, but NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and James Palmer reported McDowell suffered a concussion and facial injuries. Carroll said "we'll see" when asked if the rookie could miss the entire season.

Having our 1st round pick miss TC seemed to work out last year... here's to hoping for a repeat.

As to Verrett I'm not that worried about him. Honestly the less time he's on the practice field is probably better with his injury history.
