    Chargers sign OL

ProFootballTalk Chargers sign an offensive lineman after Forrest Lamp injury

announced he signed with the team a short time later. Gouger played guard and center at Vanderbilt and took over for current Chargers center Spencer Pulley at the latter spot for the 2016 season.

Kenny Wiggins and third-round pick Dan Feeney are the leading options to wind up in the starting lineup with veteran Matt Slauson when it comes time for the Chargers to pick their starting guards for Week One. Categories: Home, Los Angeles Chargers, Rumor Mill

Camp body. Hoping Feeney is given the chance to win the job at RG. I think the team views him as the C of the future. Been reading Tuerk has been getting the 2nd team LG reps and only working at C with the 3rd unit.

time to convert him to blocking TE that helps in short yardage and goal line situations.

Tuerk is too tall, and not thick enough to play C.
Anyone seen him in camp? How's he look at G?

Damn good question. Hopefully we'll find out tomorrow.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I remember several months ago (pre-draft primarily IIRC) some people were talking as if Donavan Clark was almost a starting OG shoo-in based on some nice comments from coaching staff about him last year before he got hurt. Now? Crickets. For those speculating Tuerk is on the bubble and calling him a ghost- at least he's getting practice reps and probably more secure than Clark right now.

Tuerk played LG and C yesterday. And snapped a whole lot better than Feeney.
