I heard he wasn't even supposed to be in there that play, the coaches tried to get Woodhead in there but for some reason failed to do so. But yeah, he does need to learn to block but at this point can he learn it? Goff was on the postgame saying it was his impression that Mathews has the attitude that he only wants to carry the rock and in general eschews blocking.

Tomlinson was an overrated blocker. The guy who could pass block was Darren Sproles.

We need a RB who we can trust all game long, Matherws just never hits on all cylenders. Today he made a case to play more in non passing situations.
