We can only run the ball every other or every 3rd series. Thats when they take out Mathews in favor of Woodhead and throwing short passes too him.

You and Den should start the Mathews Fan Club...if you haven't already. Really, TWO entirely different coaching staffs have done the same thing with him. So maybe - just maybe - it has something to do with Mathews?

Mathews is being used exactly as he should be (save 2 carries against the Redskins), and he's on a pace for a his best season (I believe). This just might be the best he can do. And frankly, he he continue to rip off 100+ yard games rushing, he's an asset.

Actually, I am. Bolt-O. I have been pleasantly surprised with him this season, to be honest. As I said, I think (save 2 carries) McCoy/Whiz are getting the most out of him. If we could land another guy in the draft (like SF's Hunter, for example) the running game could be set for next season.

That's one position locked up. Not we have to work on the other 20 that aren't.

1. Rivers has definitely played better than the previous years, but how many years he has left with a line like this?

2. What positions are we okay with that we don't have to address going to 2014 Draft\FA?

Gotta protect the franchise, Rivers. Either a 1st or a 2nd has to be for OLT. If we pick at 5, a pass rusher in the 1st and OLT in the 2nd is doable.
