Rams third-round WR Cooper Kupp (groin) will miss Saturday's third preseason game.
Kupp's injury isn't serious, but it's a blow for the 24-year-old rookie. The third preseason game is a team's regular season dress rehearsal. The starters will play into the second half. Kupp has already formed a nice rapport with Jared Goff (8/105 this summer), but will be missing valuable reps. It will likely take some of the air out of Kupp's ADP, which could be a boon for shrewd fantasy drafters.

The way Kupp has been playing I don't think missing a game or two in preseason will hurt. My concern would be long term. We have seen how groin pulls tend to linger all year as a chronic issue.
As far as the battle for LA is concerned I think it's been nothing but a skirmish that the Chargers have lost so far. The Chargers aren't putting up much of a fight. What I would be concerned about is the lack of fire this team has shown, and the poor coaching and team preparation that has been clearly evident under Lyn so far. If the Chargers want to make this a "battle" the HC and his staff need to step it up bigtime. Having a rookie HC is showing already in preseason.

"Poor coaching and preperation"..... they don' t do any game planning. They use the games to test the young guys so as to focus areas that need work and get an idea of who has a future in the league. Have u been to the practices and joint practices where the guys that will get the majority of snaps are getting their reps? Ya...didn't think so.
Just like your " pretty much the same Oline blah blah blah" .... when 1 guy is playing in his same spot as last year, and 3/5 are new to either the team or the starting unit. Just like Toomer is an early down LB and can't cover. Don't worry, a broken clock is right twice a day; your time will come.
I wonder if u will be equally over the top the other way if and when we come out and stick it to Denver opening night? My guess is no.

Plenty of winning seasons where we didnt win pre season games. For me personally my criticism of the team this pre season isnt in regards to wins or losses. Its about our depth. And how terrible it looks at this point. But most of the depth is the same as it was last year. And we were in most games despite losing countless starters.
Do i think we have regressed in the last 6 months? No. I think we have a terrible backup QB. I think the switch to a 43 will take some time to develop. And i think the injuries at critical positions like OL continue to plague the team.
Good teams overcome injuries with well coached depth. If our back ups are not that good i dont necessarily think its Lynns fault. Many have been under McCoy and never truly developed. Just gonna take time for the new staff to reverse the negatives....thats if they are actually solid coaches. But its way to early to tell.

McCoy was not a good head coach period we will find out very quickly what type of coach Lynn is because we got O-line issues off the bat.

Nobody throws more hospital passes than Clemens. Thats what scares me the most. Not having a QB that can call the right blocking schemes. And a guy who leads his WRs into big hits. I know its risky playing Rivers....but if he dosnt play i hope we sit Allen and other key guys on offense.
