    Curren Draft Order thread.

NFL Draft Order 2014: Shakeup in the top five

    By Sander Philipse @Sanderrp on Nov 17 2013, 6:43p

The Jacksonville Jaguars still have the top pick in the draft, but we're seeing a lot of movement in the top five.

e've seen a bit of a shakeup in the top five of the draft today, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers winning their second game of the season and dropping all the way to the fourth pick. If the Minnesota Vikings lose today (Update: they did), which it sure looks like at this point, the Bucs will drop a little further to the fifth overall pick. The Bucs have one the toughest full-season strength of schedule in the NFL, and that's the first tiebreaker for draft order.

As it stands right now, several teams will have to make some tough decisions on quarterbacks at the top of the draft. The Falcons are likely to take a lineman on either side of the ball, and the Jaguars are all but guaranteed to pick Teddy Bridgewater. Beyond that, though, will the Texans stick with Keenum? Can the Vikings trust Ponder (I doubt it)? Will there be a quarterback upgrade for the Bucs, or do they stick with Mike Glennon?

Today marks the first time we've incorporated playoff scenarios, which currently work by using the official playoff seeds. Picks 21 through 32 will be distributed among playoff teams, in reverse finishing order.

We'll keep the table below updated throughout the day, and we have a static page with a constantly updated 2014 NFL draft order, too.

Pick Team Record Strength of Schedule

      1 JAX 1 - 9 86 - 76 -QB For sure

      2 MIN 2 - 8 87 - 75 -QB For sure

      3 HOU 2 - 8 87 - 73 - This very well could be a QB Shuab days are coming to a close

      4 ATL 2 - 8 87 - 72

5 TB 2 - 8 91 - 69 - This depends on how their rookie QB Glenon finishes the season

      6 STL via WSH 3 - 7 83 - 79

      7 BUF 4 - 7 81 - 77

      8 PIT 4 - 6 78 - 84

9 CLE 4 - 6 80 - 82 - Weeden is done, Campbell is better served as backup, Hoyer coming off injury so QB is very probably

      10 BAL 4 - 6 81 - 81

      12 OAK 4 - 6 85 - 76 -Pryor is an more athletic Tebow they can use a QB

      14 SD 4 - 6 88 - 74

      20 ARI 6 - 4 81 - 76 -Carson Palmer better years behind him they need a QB

Based on the projected finis a lot of teams need QB's picks 1 & 2 is a given, but other teams ahead of us may go QB too, this allows positions of need to fall our way and only team behind us that needs a QB could trade up is Arizona.

Are there even 6 QB's worth drafting first round this year? Bridgewater and Mariota are both being seen as high first round picks. Carr and Hundley I've seen consistently in the first round. After that, maybe Manziel.. depending, probably, on the scout. Thats only 5, and thats assuming that Carr, Hundley and Manziel really rise in the draft process.

Keep in mind, also, Mariota is only a sophomore. He may decide to stay another year to chase a National Championship.

No way we drop to 14, I'm thinking 5-6.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

The top 5 looks locked in Jax, Min are no doubt 1 & 2 picks 3-5 Houston, Atlanta, and Tampa Bay have only two victories, Houston has the easiest remainding schedule, but they have so much turmoil. I don't see Buffalo, St. Louis or Oakland finishing better than us. So the highest I can see us is at 9.

We can fall below 9 easily to Tennesee has to ride the season with Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB, Cleveland could drop riding with Campbell at QB.

One of these two teams can fall below us too just because there talent isn't what its been in year past Pittsburgh or Baltimore.

Then the 7 pick of St. Louis via Washington could fall or rise.

I know everybody wants a high pick, but this team compete despite the injuries, level of talent and coaching blunders so they will win some games down the stretch.

Best scenario I see us some where between 9-12

Except late Nov & Dec are when playoff teams fight for wins. I see us losing out.

Honestly we have a tough schedule. The "easy" wins from a few weeks ago view are NOW looking like real competitive games. Oakland seems to be a challenge for us and Giants are playing better. KC twice will be battles and Denver IN Denver. No real easy games....as if any game is easy for our team currently outside of Jax.

Given our depleted team I think we will likely end up with 2 maybe 3 wins at most....we may sneak a victory or two against good competition. We will live or die by our offense fellas....our D will make rookies look good so its a situation of we either dominate the TOP on offense or we will just blow it when it counts and lose.

Im thinking 6-10 gets us #10....we get to 7-9 and we are looking at #14 range. I expect a LOT of 7-9 teams this year so strength of schedule drives the tie break, right?
