    OT: questioning my parenting...

I am seriously questioning my parenting skills right now.

My daughter made the varsity soccer team at her high school this year. The girls get to pick their number from the pool of available numbers based on seniority. Since she was one of only 3 sophomores to make the team, all the seniors and juniors got to pick their numbers first and there weren't many left by the time it got to be her time to pick. She has worn #8 her entire life and really wanted that number but someone older got it first. When she got to pick, she had two choices: 16 and 21. Guess which one she picked?

Too funny. What's worse is she has an LT jersey, so she should know better!

Think of this as an opportunity, an opportunity to redeem that number, to associate it with something positive and rid it of its negative associations. It's not the number's fault a certain someone was such a blemish.

Totally agree. In fact you should post a picture of the jersey and let us exorcise the demons from the number. Then, her logic for choosing the number could be (which I suspect it already is) 8 (her favorite number) + 8 = 16.

Be thankful she didn't insist on 69.

I thought the thread was about someone questioning your origin on Earth...

You could have just come out and said your daughter is a borderline superhero and that we should all respect you more for it. LOL

I kid. I do that on Facebook with my All American son.
