If you play around with the scenarios, the Chargers pretty much have to go 5-1 (losing to Denver) to have a chance. They win some tiebreakers if the Chiefs are involved (assuming they sweep them, which they'll have to do) but lose out to tiebreakers to the Jets and Ravens.

I think Baltimore would have the best shot at the 6th spot.
In the NFC some good teams won't get in.

Sadly that has been a trend. Ideally they break it coming down the stretch. Finishing 8-8 again would be very annoying.

Is this draft class good enough to hope for 5-11? I hate to lose, but it would be nice to look forward to the draft for once and I've heard this is a nice draft class. I hold out hope that McCoy is going through his own growing pains and will get better. A few pieces to the puzzle and I think we could be a lot more stable and better. Don't mind making the wild card round and cannot stand it when we get a first round bye. Seems like when they're battling through adversity they play better. Every time they come out after a bye, they seem to be distracted and play flat. No... I'm not saying throw in the towel this season and play for the loss! Just yet...
