I certainly think so.

He's looking better out there.

Still looks like a Rook, (missed tackle that led to Charles's one long run).

But definately getting better...his instincts of where the pass is headed are so much better than Bird (and/or anyone else we've had there over the past several years)

I felt like he always had the instinct part pretty much down, he seems like he knows where to go to make the play. His hit on McCluster was nice but for the most part he seems to look like the Te'o that surfaced in the Alabama game - a boy playing amongst men. Maybe he needs to hit the Vitamin S.

I think that's just part of thinking too much instead of simply reacting. He's a rookie. I'm kind of surprised at how many people expected a rookie linebacker that missed the preseason to dominate in the pros so early. I get the sense he's improving every week, although, I'm not sitting there keying on him every play with a clipboard.

I'm seeing some progress diagnosing, but he lacks athleticism and speed (Though thinking when he should be reacting could be making him look slow). Not sure we have a 3 down LB like the company is trying to sell us on.

Needs to add some muscle. Never going to be a burner so he needs to add some bulk and effective strength to take on blockers. He looks a bit soft. Well, soft for an NFL LB.

any player that gets traded up for usually will get more scrutinized than other picks because they expect to see something special out of that player that you had to use two (or more) draft picks to get. with LBs, they don't usually take that long to develop, you either see something very special about them right away (big hitter, fast sideline to sideline guy etc) either that or just a serviceable starter or maybe backup material when you see them have extended playing time.
