Verner i wouldnt think will be a premier FA. He will cost but he shouldnt be THAT expensive. We can cut Cox after this season too. Ive seen where his contract would save us money actually in another forum. I put out a claim to another forum to see if it can be found.
Here is something to play with. Not sure i get it yet. I havent spent much time looking at it. It is a cap calculator.

I really like Verner. I think he will get around what Cox got, maybe a bit more. Id pay maybe up to 6 mil a year for him. We have plenty we can cut to make room. Butler is a priority first though.Last edited by Boltjolt; 12-15-2013, 03:09 PM.

Sean Smith (KC)- 3 yr $16.5M
Aqib Talib (NE)- 1 yr $4.975M
Brent Grimes (Mia)- 1 yr $5.5M
Chris Houston (Det)- 5 yr $25M
Greg Toler (Ind)- 3 yr $14.25M
Cary Williams (Phi)- 3yr $17M
Keenan Lewis (NO)- 5 yr $25.5M
Kyle Arrington (NE)- 4 yr $16M
Leodis McKelvin (Buf)- 4 yr $17M
So if your question was did they overpay then the answer is yes. If you are trying to say he was a "premier" free agent because they overpaid then you are wrong. At $5M per season he is right in line with what Sean Smith, Aqib Talib, Brent Grimes, Chris Houston, Cary Williams, and Keenan Lewis received per year. Unfortunately the price for CB's last season was high and Telesco picked the wrong one.1) Jason Verrett (CB) TCU
