As much as I'd love to see another stud brought to this defense via the draft, if there's a franchise type QB available when we choose in the top 10, gotta pull the trigger.
As long as PR continues making horrible decisions and worse throws, he's a total liability. Plus the fact he can't make plays with his legs, as most QB's do these days, he can't help.

Rivers can't carry a team and more I think about it I don't think he really ever did when we were winning with Rivers we were loaded with talent (LT, Micheal Turner, Jackson, Gates, and Floyd). and he got away throwing bad passes when we had big physical receivers Vincent Jackson & Malcom Floyd even though Floyd was less physical he would go up and get it. If Rivers had any mobility he would able to keep at least one or two drives sustained a game. The offensive talent currently is not like above mention, but it is enough there to be better than 3-6

pretty sure Lynn already has his QB of the future in Jones. All he has to do is announce there will more "competition at QB in camps next year" and the trade offers for Rivers will come in. They'll probably draft a TE to replace Gates, a RB, or a DT with the top pick next year.
