Playoff - realistic or not??

Going into the last 4 games, put me down for 2 who-can-tells and 2 shoulda-woulda-couldas.

If we are at 9-7 (not likely) w/any other 9-7 team that can get there, its very likely that they beat us or at least have more conference wins than us.

Of the teams that the NFL says are in the Hunt starting with the ranking provided by NFL.com

Ravens 6-6 (Remaining Schedule)

• Vikings
• Lions
• Pats
• Bengals

They would easily go 2-2 and end at 8-8 which I think is the most likely scenario. Prediction sneak in as the sixth seed.

Dolphins 6-6 (Remaining Schedule)

• Steelers
• Pats
• Bills
• Jets

Dolphins have less of an identity than we do. They easily go 2-2, but I wouldn't be surprised if they win/lose all 4 games. Prediction 8-8 assed out of sixth seed.

Titans 5-7 (Remaining Schedule)

• Broncos
• Cards
• Jags
• Texans

They will also probably go 2-2 with their remaining schedule. Cards and Donks games will be tough. Prediction 7-9 No soup for you.

Steelers 5-7 (Remaining Schedule)

• Dolphins
• Bengals
• Packers
• Browns

Easily 2-2 with teams that are pushing for a similar PO Spot with Phins and Pack, but they are all winnable. Prediction 8-8 & out of playoff hunt despite going 3 of last 4. Not sure how they tie break out versus Ravens.

Chargers 5-7 (Remaining Schedule)

• Giants
• Broncs
• Duhs
• Chiefs

Tough as nails, probably 2-2 and hope for a run at 4-0.... We will need to go 4-0 to get in... We however have the toughest schedule remaining. Prediction 2-2 finish 7-9 and the AFC's 10th seed.

• Tennessee has a sweep on conference games but will need to go 3 of 4.
• We are owned by Tenn and Phins head to head.
• If we go 9-7 (stranger has happened) 3 of our last 4 are conference games and that may boost us over Pittsburgh who only has two conference games remaining. (however, I'm not sure what their current conf record is)

All we have to do is WIN and see what happens. None of the teams w/a descent shot a the 6th seed have an identity.

Only disagreement I have is that I think the Ravens go 1-3 over their last 4, which means the Dolphins are a playoff team at 8-8. Damn, the AFC is weak this year!

I think it's going to be the Dolphins, too. They looked strong in NY last week, but maybe the Jest just looked weak. I think they'll win three of the last four and there won't be a tie-breaker. Maybe I'm just trying to wish the Ravens out of the playoffs, though.

Yep, and finish the season 8-8. And looking at remaining schedules, that looks like it will be good enough to clinch the 6th seed. Pathetic, ain't it?

One of those teams is the Jests and they didn't look like they are capable of giving the Fish a game at home, let alone on the road. The Steelers look worse than mediocre. That leaves the Pat*s as the one loss. I'm not saying it will happen, but it seems likely to me.
