Immediately becomes fastest RB on the roster. This kid can fly. He is not a move the chains, beast mode RB. He is a make you miss, see you tomorrow RB. I take this move as insurance. OL Boyko waived. Also, he can return kicks.
I looked at NFLdraftscout and it showed he ran a 4.63 at his proday. I havent seen it anywhere else but havent looked. NFLDS usually posts results as they happen. I dont recall seeing him play so i cant say other than that. Andre Ellington looked fast to me in college as well and ran about the same at the combine or proday. Parhaps he is just really quick instead of having top end speed.

I think they all got that from one kids twitter account that rotoworld picked up but it appears that 40 time is wrong:
Missouri Football NFL Pro Day: Russell Hansbrough impressed with his speed
Thanks for digging that up OIP. I too went with the draft scout time. His pre season numbers with the Bucs were not good. So maybe he has great speed....and maybe he has talent at this level...but he hasnt really done anything yet. So my expectations are tempered. This is a good system for backs who can catch passes though. Hopefully he is a "Gem".
Someone even commented on that draftscout page that the #'s were wrong. What happened is rotoworld posted the 40 time from some kids twitter account and draftscout got their info from there. Easy to see why roto was duped. The kid is the son of the Tampa Bay Times writer.
I see. You dont usually see that on Draftscout. They are pretty solid in that regard. Im friends with Jon Cooney. One of the main guys behind that publication. Its my go too for accurate reports. In fact i didnt know anyone else from here had access to that site still. I thought most were redirected to cbs. I think the CBS guys got the stats and then NFLDS picked them up from CBS. Likely CBS got them form Roto.
You don't usually see that on rotoworld. But they are trying to break news fast and first and sometimes they screw up. Most times when they don't know a source they will say the news might not be reliable. This time I think they were fooled by the last name being the same as a trusted news source
We'll see what he has. I'm a skeptic. Speed is nice but he isn't very big, no idea if he can catch, or if he is a fumbler. I'm guessing he won't play unless an injury occurs so he is just a body right now to me.
