Tom Cable anyone?

I like Cable and his emphasis on fundamentals. But he is mostly a zone running guy, and Gordon is better running out of power. Ekeler and Oliver are better zone runners than power, but I am not sure you would switch over to a pure zone scheme just because of those either (or both) of those two.
What would Cable do for us? He is one of the better zone blocking OL coaches, even though his title is the assistant HC. The OL play may not have been great out of the gate, but they certainly played a lot better as the season went on. Rivers covered up some of the issues with pass protection with his quick release, but they gave him plenty of time later in the year. In the Dallas game, their DL (who had a good season rushing the passer) got nowhere near Rivers, and he shredded them. Same with the other games. When we were able to protect Rivers and give him time.
I was not a fan of Pat Meyers initially, but he has kind of won me over, at least for now.

I thought our Offensive line was pretty good, for as limited they were talent wise.... Two Undrafted guys, a rookie starting more than half the season, and Barksdale/Schofield.
I don't see where changing offensive line coaches would help that much."...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."
