    Seasons End Tourney - WATCHLIST

After the week 14 games here is the skinny:

We are currently the 8th seed in the AFC and on paper (Currently) have a one game deficit to make up.

Ravens 7-6 (current 6th seed) They are 6-4 in conference and have the Lions, Pats* and Bengals* left. Since head to head with them will not apply, we need them to lose two games and hopefully both will be AFC Games*.

Dolphin's 7-6 (current 7th seed). They have us head to head and are currently 6-3 in conference. We are one game back, but really two based on head to head. They have three AFC games remaining (Pats, Bills and Jets) and at worst will finish with a 6-6 conference record...But if that happens, they are 7-9 and probably out of the discussion.

Chargers 6-7 Pretty much we need to win out and we need loses by the above teams. If we win out our conference record will be 6-6.

Jets 6-7 Current 9th seed and have the Panthers, Browns and Dolphins remaining. H2H doesn't come into play and they currently have a 3-7 conference record.

SURVEY SAYS: Another "WHAT IF" season for the San Diego Chargers. We are a team with a serious identity crisis. We find ourselves in the 2013 playoff discussion which is better than not being in the discussion. We had one of our most complete games on Sunday, Ingram played good, Te'o had his best game and our CB's battled for some balls and held their own. The offense was steady, but too often find ourselves in 3rd down situations (We had 15 offensive 3rd downs and luckily we were 66%). That stat can kill you. If we don't convert at that similar rate (Bengals game), then we lose.

The recipe for the playoffs starts in 4 nights: Win Thursday, Win 12/22 and 12/29 and hope some above us lose and we are in the seasons end tourney.

Looking at those records, I think the Dolphins finish 9-7 and the 6th seed, the Ravens 7-9, the Chargers either 8-8 or 7-9, and the Jets 6-10. Even if we pulled off the improbable sweep, I just don't see the Dolphins losing to the Bills or Jets, and they own the head-to-head over us -- but those are division games, so you never know.
