    Lynn year two.

    Good read

When Anthony Lynn sat down at the annual coaches’ breakfast during the NFL meetings a year ago in Phoenix, his plate was completely full — and it stayed that way.

Since when does Woike write for the SDUT?

Last I heard was that they were newspapers owned by the same owner, but I'm not sure who the owner is now. Last I heard it was some LA billionaire, not the Tribune company, but SDUT does post articles from Woike from time to time, as the local beat writer.

Since they needed someone who could write a story about the chargers that was not derogatory...

Thats what im guessing. Were they losing readers with the 100% hate rhetoric? I have to assume so being one of them myself.

Krasovic is still somewhat snarky. Canepa is old and bitter. Acee is trying to be relevant and now I am stuck with him covering the Padres, but at least it's not about the Chargers and his push for Soccer City. It's refreshing to read professional writers.

Acee is tough to take as the Padres beat writer, isn't he? It's like he's writing the exact same kind of stories, with the word Padres in place of Chargers.
Shocked the SDUT culdn't find someone more suitable. Bryce Miller maybe?

As for the topic, I have a lot more confidence in Lynn year 2 than I did in year 1.

              I do too.

But I'm still a bit gunshy as we said a lot of the same things about McCoy going into year 2.

              Will remain cautious for now.

The key difference is that I think most of us were positive about McCoy going into year 1 and most of us were negative about Lynn from the get go.

I was hopeful on Lynn as he has that run first mentally I hoped would add that mentallity that has been missing.

I thought the Lynn choice was uninspiring and questionable. But he did a very good job under extremely difficult circumstances and should only get better as his confidence and experience continue to grow. A big lesson is letting Whiz call the plays and do the game plan and not forcing the team to do something it cannot do. It is fine to have a philosophy and plan and build towards that. But when you don't have the pieces yet to fully implement your vision, you have to adjust. I think Lynn understands that now. And he doesn't seem like the kind of coach that players get tired of after a while because they have heard all his stories and pep talks.

Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.
