Yeah, money pretty much guarantees a person's interest and makes them take it serious. Both of the $ leagues I run are with no bullshit, pay before you play guys that will always honor the commitment they made.

Yea ive seen leagues basically ruined before the season even starts.

I have two more free Yahoo fantasy football league opportunities for those who are interested. I have set up both of these free leagues for several years now. All of the owners from last year were invited back, but there are still a few open spots. First come, first serve. League settings will be listed below.

The Live Wire league is a 12-team live draft league. The draft is scheduled for Saturday August 24 at 3:00pm CDT. That's 1:00pm PDT. This league currently has five open spots. The league ID# is 31661 and the password is bolts.

The Thunder & Lightning league is an 8-team autodraft league. This league also currently has five open spots. The league ID# is 31672 and the password is bolts.

As of right now, there are five out of twelve slots left in the Live Wire league. The seven current returnees from last year are: G-Money Trojans, Gridiron Brothel, BlazingBolt's Hitmen, Jacked Up, Oregon Bolts, Fleet Air, and myself.

As of right now, there are five out of eight slots left in the Thunder & Lightning (autodraft) league. The three current returnees are: Gridiron Brothel, BoltAttack, and myself.

Cyberbolt, if you decide to open another league, I would probably be interested as well.

What i hate the most is when a player dosnt show up for the draft...gets a bunch of good players at one position..then sees his team and complains. Followed by a bunch of lopsided trades to fill out the weak spots of his roster. I play in money leagues because it guarantees managers show up.

i've never had a life draft that either was scheduled or that if was scheduled, that i could attend. i organize my draft rankings in chunks by position, several guys per position in order of position and cycle through positions so that i usually pick the best player available depending on how i have them projected.

i just think they're half assed friends of friends. none of my friends ignore their lineups. free or not. there tend to be 25% of strangers that i can count on to do this. ruins leagues when a tight league is going and some teams are getting free weeks where someone has half their team playing on byes or out injured for weeks at a time.

I stay off the waiver wire in leagues with clueless players. By week 3 they drop studs they are inpatient with. Had an owner drop Witten and Dez after week 3 last year. lol

You need to find some better leagues with competent owners.

Anyone play daily fantasy sports? I got hooked playing on Fanduel and Draftkings last season in the weekly leagues. All types of stakes ranging from $1 to 100+ leagues. Fun as hell.

Bro i play in money leagues with all competent owners. We are talking about free leagues. And its why i dont play in them. lol
