    2012 vs 2013 Chargers

    FYI:

    Yards/Game
    2013: No. 6 offense, No. 25 defense
    2012: No. 31 offense, No. 24 defense

    Points/Game
    2013: No. 14 offense, No. 10 defense
    2012: No. 20 offense, No. 16 defense

    Net Points:
    2013: +32
    2012: Even
    Prediction:
    Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

No doubt, we are younger, cheaper and better this year.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
    The Wasted Decade is done.

Thanks, KNSD. No one seems to be taking much notice of the fact that the Chargers went from just about last to the upper echelon offensively under the new regime. And they did it with massive injuries to the OL, a rookie RT, second tier FAs OL, both starting WR out for the year. I am sure NFL people are paying attention. That is why I figure Whiz will be gone to Houston, Detroit, Oakland, Dallas, Minn or some other place that fires the current head man. Especially a team drafting a QB high since Whiz will acquire the reputation as a QB whisperer for resurrecting Rivers.

And the other news that your numbers validates is that the Chargers got the consistency they were seeking in keeping the defensive staff pretty much in tact. They accomplished just what they set out to do!

Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

Whisenhunt's last team seems to be doing better without him. I'm not sure how much of a roll Whisenhunt has had in our offensive improvement. There are other factors that have changed this year besides offensive coordinator.

And the whole "QB whisperer" thing is bonkers! Whiz succeeded when he had a veteran Warner running his offense, but he failed when he couldn't get a number of replacements to play half decently.

Zona had a solid D last year. Palmer has been serviceable for them.

Rivers minus Norv. The scheme change has been obvious to everyone for years.
