Everything is contested bcause he doesn't separate. But he catches it if it comes his way.

Kinda like a buffet review, the food sucked, but I ate a lot of it.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
    Let’s win one for Mack.

I see him as a welker type player.

He is a big receiver who has speed that builds, not the sudden quickness in the slot that Welker had.

Rivers likes tall players that catch contested balls. I think its a fit.

He's a sure hand WR, has great concentration, rarely got caught thinking run before catching the ball and ended up dropping it. Great concentration on the jump balls too. Not a fumbler. Smart and instinctive. Excelled at finding holes in the zone but struggle to separate on man defense. So the "good at getting open" thing on his scouting reports is mostly about when he's facing zone defenses. He's not that good at getting open when facing man defense, that's why had to make a lot of contest catches when the D playing man against him. His ability to get open was based on defensive reading and film/scheme stuyding and football IQ, not really from physical talents or any super moves or jukes. Lack of speed and only average quickness, not a good sign for a slot receiver. But his football smarts and other strength and his intangibles will probably keep him from getting cut. I think he's at best a long term unspectacular starter, "meh" starter, at worst is going to Canada.

Let the comps to other white receivers begin.

I see some similarities on tape to James Jones (the packers version obviously) but with better hands.
