Figured as much....oh knows....I guess we'll just see Green and Gates even more! Just stick Woodhead out there in his place...I'd love to see a 2 back set anyway with Woody and Matthews just to throw a wrinkle into things.

As the Chargers feared, John Phillips will miss the rest of the season.
The veteran tight end was placed on injured reserve Monday with a right knee injury. He suffered it Sunday on a 5-yard reception in the first quarter of a 26-13 win over the Raiders.
San Diego signed Jake Byrne off the Chiefs' practice squad in a corresponding move. He join Chargers tight ends Antonio Gates and Ladarius Green.
Phillips arrived in March with a three-year deal. An effective blocker, he played in all 15 games this year prior to the injury.
"I think he's done a phenomenal job in his role on this football team, whether it's special teams or for certain personnel groups on offense," coach Mike McCoy said. "His leadership and the way he works every day — he's a true professional. The guy loves the game of football. He does it exactly the way you want it to be done. You just got to tell him what you want him to do, and that's what he goes out and does every day."
Phillips had an MRI Monday that confirmed the severity was such that he'll be unable to play this season. McCoy declined to comment what the exact injury is.
Byrne, like Phillips, is known for his blocking. He began the season on the Chargers practice squad before Houston signed him to its 53-man roster in early October. He was later moved to the Texans practice squad before a brief stint on the Chiefs'.
This is his third team in two weeks.
The Chargers will play the Chiefs on Sunday.Life is too short to drink cheap beer
