I was impressed with Jacob Hester at LSU and thought trading up to get him was a good move.

1. I was glad we got Ryan Leaf instead of Peyton Manning, and thought he was going to be phenomenal in Kevin Gilbride's system.
2. Loved the Rogers Beckett draft pick and thought he was going to be an all time great DB (because he was overlooked for playing at Marshall or something?)
3. Thought Jordan Toddman had a chance to become the "next Sproles".
4. Thought Toniu Fonoti would be a multiple year all pro offensive lineman.

And lets not even get into some of the guys I thought we should have drafted but didn't, who turned out to be colossal busts.

I kept holding out hope for Norv that he would turn things around and admired his ability to stay dead calm under pressure unlike Marty. It turned out that he was just dead...

I thought not firing Norv last year was a good move becuase not any good candidates were avalible...

I HATED that we drafted Eli, but was thrilled that we "pulled the wool over Acorsi's eyes" with all we got in return, Rivers notwithstanding.

I actually wanted Merriman over Ware

I thought LB Anthony Waters was gonna be as impactful as Foley (pre gun shot event)

I turned off the TV, left the room and screamed to no one in my backyard when we traded down and Polamalu was drafted by the Steelers
(My Steeler fan buddies just laughed and laughed - and they still occasional text me just the name "Polamalu". I can spell it in my sleep)
