@caplannfl: Should Wimbley wind up being released, look for him to sign with a team that runs a 3-4 front. He's better off at OLB.
Thoughts on Kameron Wimbley if he's cut loose? I would love to bring him in.

I think at this point we should just see who falls to us in the draft. Bring in some guys after if needed. But we could use another year of depth building through UDFA and hopefully nab 3-4 starters in this loaded draft. Then go after the bigger signings next year. At least i think that is the plan and TT will make do with what we have for another year. Wait for Denver to cave in over the next year or 2 and we should be ready to explode with drafted players and cash to burn. Sign big name younger players.

I'm not sure Wimbley gets a ton of cash now. I think he will have to sign a 1-year flyer type of deal and prove himself. He is a much better 34 OLB then 43 DE. He really is pretty 1-dimensional as a rusher, and he has bounced around from Cleveland to Oakland to Tenn, so I don't think he is going to break the bank. Plus, I think even the teams that still have money are probably done with the big money deals. Traditionally, this time of year, teams usually claim they are broke, or going to use their space for extending younger players.
I think we would be attractive for him because we have a good offense, some solid pieces around him, so he really would be able to focus on just rushing the QB. Plus, he knows that we have the money to pay him next year if he impresses. And on a 1 year deal, he would be in position to take advantage next year in FA, even if it is not with us.
