Dwayne Bowe unlikely to play because of concussion?

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe did not practice Thursday because of a concussion and is unlikely to play in Sunday's road game against the San Diego Chargers.
Bowe took a hit to the head and neck area from safety LaRon Landry in last Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. Landry was penalized on the play.

Bowe is second on the Chiefs and leads their wide receivers in receptions (57), yards (673) and touchdowns (five). The Chiefs (11-4) have clinched a wild-card playoff berth and, since Sunday's game is meaningless with regard to their playoff seeding, it's unclear how much Bowe was going to play, anyway.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid has said he might rest some of the Chiefs' key players in the hope of keeping them healthy and rested for the first-round playoff game. Junior Hemingway is Bowe's backup.

At 6-foot-1 and 225 pounds, Hemingway is similar in size to Bowe. Hemingway has eight receptions this season for 80 yards and two touchdowns.

Some of Bowe's snaps could also go to A.J. Jenkins, the only other spare receiver. Jenkins, who is faster than Bowe, has five catches for 63 yards this season.

I dont like to lose ever but if we are out of it, then it wouldnt hurt my feelings if we lost. Ill still be rooting for us to win. Just saying if we dont and are playing for nothing, i wont be all that upset if we lose.

Might still be upset, but will get over it a lot quicker than normal if Balt or Miami win. Still, F KC.

I dont expect us to lose, just sayin. I want badly for us to win a ring so not getting in the playoffs is a fail as far as im concerned but i look forward to upgrading the roster and if that means getting a better draft possition, then ok.

If we win.....Great! Momentum for 2014 with 4 straight wins. We will be a better team in 2014 and beyond. There are plenty of good reasons to want us to win, i just wont be as upset if we dont.

Pretty sure we will be looking for a new OC too.
