Just rewatched this play on the football night in SD. Just fucking brutal... How do you drop that?

Fixed it for you as that was a horrible feeling knowing we had a 6-0 lead snatched from us because Butler can't catch.

OK, but which part? The first 90% of the game?

I really just HATE when you don't take advantage of a gimme turnover like that. Butler is supposed to be a cornerstone guy. You have to make that play.

Yeah, you wonder how the game plays out if he holds on to that ball. As bad as that was, the play of our dline against backup offensive linemen, yet again, is absolutely staggering.

It's better this way. [now that it's over anyways]

I agree that if he makes that play... the whole game takes on a different feel.

Linebackers aren't generally known for their hands, and even the real receivers drop passes. Shit happens.
I think there was too much love for Butler before the season and there is too much flack thrown at him now. He's a decent player on a defense that doesn't have many decent players.

concur. If he makes tht play, it gets into the heads of those backups and we probably go on to a rout. It was sooo early, but I just had a sinking feeling it would bite us and give them momentum to play over their heads and make a game of it.

QB got pressured and threw the ball straight to Butler who had an easy jog into the endzone for a pick six. He naturally dropped it and they scored a couple of plays later. Big momentum swing possibility.
