We shudda cut ties with this guy a coupla years ago....I think he's talented, & seems to be a great kid, but he has been made of glass ever since I can remember.

I agree they just need to let him go. I feel bad for him. Question now is who becomes the #2 cornerback on this team? My guess would be Desmond King or Trevor Williams.

Trevor Williams is the real deal, he just has to embrace it. I wasn't counting on Verrett, but I didn't expect hm to pop so soon.

He's NOT been there 5 times more than he HAS been there, so the team is experienced in pressing forward without a KEY piece....

We should have traded him this off season. Might have been able to get a mid round pick for him. Did we pick up his option for 2019?

Unfortunately his contract is guaranteed so cutting him accomplishes nothing other then opening a roster spot. But this pretty much puts the nail in his coffin as a Charger...imo.

Verrett has turned into the second coming of Buster Davis (although obviously he was better when healthy). This is his fifth season with Chargers & he will finish it with 25 games played (4, 1, 0 in last 3). Buster was with team four seasons and played ... 25 games.

Gonna still be Trevor Williams and he has been a good one. Honestly we arent missing much as i never expected Verrett to play much this year anyways. Now his Chargers carer is over. Tough break for him but he just cant seem to stay healthy.

Agree. Been saying it all offseason. He is a UFA in 2019 so he will be gone.
