Watching the Vikings D I realize what we are lacking. We have the players and the athletes now. We don't yet have unit cohesiveness, it will be nice to see if Bradley can get our D playing to where each player maintains assignments and makes each other better. It will come with experience, good coaching and player discipline. With that being said look for our D to make big plays early but give up big yardage plays at the same time. With times we should cut the mistakes while maintaining the big stops. Will be fun to watch them develop this year.
Look for Derwin James to take on a leadership role early. He is young but it is who he is. We don't really have that vocal type player in the backfield and it comes natural to him. First, he has to show that his game is legit early and the respect will follow. I hope he can become our Ray Lewis type heart of a great D.
