The loss was on Lynn for the sole reason that he brought George Steward back as ST coach. A missed fg, a 91 punt return and a fumble inside the 5 that lead to 17 points in a game we lost by 10. 100% on Lynn.

Agree. ST still not fixed and cost another game. This is a real test of Lynn....can he act like the CEO of the team and make the tough decision on a friend and mentor who is hurting the team? (BTW you missed the ko returns that should have taken a knee on).

Travis Benjamin has the worst hands in the NFL yet he is still on the field and targeted endlessly.

He let the punt drop because he was scared to fumble it.

Same reason he ran backwards on the previous punt. He knows he can't catch yet the coaching staff is blind to it.

Chargers need to hire a REAL special teams coach!

They won't. Lynn made Steward ST coach and Asst head coach. Loyalty to fault when it isn't warranted. Same crap as wasting a practice squad spot for Cardale Jones.

      My takes:
ka and mw are the only wrs who seem to be consistent, mikes only drops was at the end of the game with 2 defenders on him.
We have to pay bosa, we can not do what the raiders did with mack, our pash rush was non existent without him, you didnt even notice melvin ingram.
we def need a dt no if ands our butts they were just eating running up the middle.
Secondary seemed to not know how to cover anymore,1 man literally dismantled our secondary.
Can we stop calling draws when we wanna run the ball.
my prediction of 12-4 is looking to be laughable if we dont get bosa back

The negatives are pretty obvious. I wish that Stewart wasn't just the ST Coordinator, he's Lynn's Assistant HC. I'd wish he could fire him, but that's fantasy. How do you train your WRs to catch deep balls on your hands? I hate that the Chargers are losing key tiebreakers early in the season.

There are some positives with Mike Williams, and the RBs being effective, and KA and Gates are just so reliable. On D, Reid out schemed Bradley badly, as speed kills... even though there is better speed on this team than in the past. I didn't see too much with Nwosu, I heard White getting called out in a bad play, and Justin Jones isn't up to speed yet.

Eckeler and MG lll need to both line up in the backfield. One as a rusher one as an outlet

Great games by both. Bodes well for the future. But IMO , Ekelar is more explosive.

Wow, what a frustrating game to watch. Hill dominated the game and I think Mahomes was okay but not worth all the hype he is going to be getting. I think it's clear that Reid is the best play designer in football.

Special teams let us down but mostly it was all those drops by the WR. Holy crap that was huge and could have been the difference. But the fumbled punt and the kick return for 6 were terrible as well.

PR positive after the game, not really fired up. He just listed all the bad things, and is still seeing positives with the performance of the O.

I don’t understand why Hill wasn’t double covered all game. A single deep safety has no chance against him.

I could do without Travis Benjamin. His negatives (incl cap hit) outweigh what he brings to the team. I'm not going to kill JJ Jones in his first pro game. He made a mistake on the punt return, granted. I give him another chance to see what he can do. If he has to run backward at all for a punt, then he should just let it go.

Do you think that is JJ making the decision to return the kick or is it being called from the sideline on what to do?

That is on JJ. The sideline is calling what to do when the ball is in the air. It is a jusgement play, amd he had bad judgement yesterday

I like JJ and think he has a big future. But I also support benching him after the fumble. There has to be consequences for bad play.

How much did Nwosu play? I don't recall seeing him or hearing his name called in the broadcast.

I don’t either. He had no tackles.
