    Eli Manning

It seems every season that Eli Manning sucks, the media finds someone else to blame. "Poor Eli! He doesn't have a true No 1 wide receiver!" " Poor Eli, he doesn't have a good running game to rely on!!" "Poor Eli! He doesn't have a competent head coach or offensive coordinator!" "Poor Eli, he doesn't have an all pro TE to throw to!" It seems like excuses get made for him every year. So after this 0-2 start and his poor play yet again, I was waiting for whose fault it would be this time. And sure enough, it did not take long. "Poor Eli! He needs a better O-line. He can't do it all himself!" was the first headline I saw.

No other QB gets this treatment. I don't understand it.

Eli Manning career wise is an above avg. QB. Right now he is 1 of the bottom QBs. Rivers and Big Ben the Rapist are the true elite QBs in that year class.

I am still not sure how, but that family is considered "NFL Royalty" so that's why they baby Eli. I mean, Archie was not a great QB, so I don't get how that family is NFL Royalty and say for instance, the Griese family or the Luck family aren't.

I watched last night's game with a Gnats' fan. It was hilarious how much he hates Eli.

Eli has an NFL arm and accuracy. Hes still an above average qb. But yes, he gets a pass if other parts of the team are substandard.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Above average? Pls define how you are measuring that "average".

i think he, like flacco benefitted from great running games and Din their playoff runs. Credit to the OC for dummying up the playbooks in the playoffs so they stopped the constant turnovers. I think the one year Sheli had 25INT in the regular season and none in the playoffs. He was at his best slightly above avg. Other times he has ranged between OmG and WTF???

14 dump offs to Barkley is ridiculous. They may not have a good OL or whatever but they were dinking and dunking all night long last night. I dont see that as Elis fault really but he did miss a wide open Odell for a TD early on in the game as he threw it someplace else.

Im from NY, it's every fucking year. I will say, today on the radio someone called up and said Tom Brady couldn't have done better with Eli's Oline and got ridiculed to no end by the radio guys.

I've never liked that sack of shit! And... I never will!! I loved his first game coming into San Diego though, it was more intense than any play-off game I've been to!

No love for Eli, but the line play was horrible. They lost their starting center in Q3 of the game too. They are in for a long season. Saquon is the real deal though. Love to watch that kid run.
