Is it better or worse for us that Whiz knows he has the Lions job waiting for him?

From what I understand, teams are allowed to interview wildcard assistants in this week, even though they are moving on to the divisionals. Has anyone hired a HC that was still active in the playoffs and announced it?

I was not aware his job with us was in jeopardy. If he was not in the running for HC elsewhere, his job here was secure.

Teams cannot offer someone who is still currently coaching in the playoffs a contract.

I at least hope the Lions brass is coming here to interview him so the time spent on this is minimal. It seems like that's the way teams are handling it these days anyway.
