Interesting decision.

Ultimately, a lot of things had to go wrong for the Jays to lose in that final game at the end, but Dodgers showed true grit and made all the plays they needed to late in the game and didn't choke when it mattered.

Yoshi deservedly receiving the MVP was cool - the guy must have ice in his veins.
he would throw a couple of pitches outside, and look like he was losing his stuff, and then throw 2 laser strikes after that. dude was solid.

With the World Series Championship on the line, the runner on third needs to get a better jump.

As the hitter starts to swing, and hits the ball, the runner has got to be leaning, and cheating a couple of steps towards home plate.

The presumption is that it will not be a line drive at someone and you will not be doubled off.

The baseball rule/adage there is called " go on contact ".

It was out by two inches when it might have been safe by several feet.

Furthermore, a lot of times, when it is not so darn crucial, the third base coach will bark at the base runner "watch the line drive, watch the line drive" meaning don't get yourself doubled off third base.

        A little inside baseball...

And at least once with bases loaded, if not twice, in this series, he didn't panic.

They have nothing to feel bad about, they played their asses off and lost. It happens all the time in sports.
The Dodgers are the defending champs and the best team money can buy. The Jays were a heavy underdog, but a very resilient team that led the majors in hitting this season.

The Dodgers with their pedigree and success deserve to be called the best team in baseball. I dont know if i fully agree they were the best team in this series just because they won.
The Dodgers won by a run in extra innings in game 7. A series does not get any closer and more of a toss up that that. Two of the Dodgers wins came in extra innings, all 4 wins were very close. The Jays 3 wins were all routes and they out hit the Dodgers in this series by a considerable margin.

Not saying the Dodgers arent deserving champs. They got it done and have 2 in a row...best team in baseball title is earned. But this series was a toss up and if anything the Jays should have won game 7, they led for 8 innings and left tons of baserunners all over.

            Very memorable world series

Yamamoto was easily the MVP in a Dodgers win. The rest of that great starting staff was no problem for Jays hitters but Yamamoto was a nightmare.

I could tell the Dodger have recently been to the playoffs and World Series before. They got the big hits when it mattered most in the close ones.

That’s why they play best of 7. Baseball has ever been and will never be one game takes it all (except for the rare playoff to get the last wild card spot). Agree that the Jays played way better than most people outside of Toronto thought they would. They could have won game 7 but made too many mistakes.

The Chargers have had many seasons in the past of dominating the whole game but choking the game away late. The ability to make plays when needed and when the pressure is greatest is what makes teams better and winners. The Dodgers (at least this recent version) didn’t just start winning the WS, they had to lose and make mistakes to learn from them. The Blue Jays can do the same here, learn from the series and come back next yymore hungry, determined, and able to make the plays when needed.

The Chargers were better than the Patriots in the 2006 season and the better team in that terrible playoff game but lost. It happens.

championship mettle, dna, clutch when needed all matter and the Dodgers had it just like the Patriots did.

Sometimes ( well, a lot of times ) luck is involved. Rojas, the blind squirrel, found an acorn!

When we can't laugh at them for failing every year despite their enormous competitive advantage I for one hope for a work stoppage and cancelled world series....whatever it takes to get a salary cap and revenue sharing, owners can't cave like 94, this sport is broken

Fuck baseball. I love my Padres but this league is a joke. We don't all exist just for the Dodgers and Yankees to feel good about themselves.

I changed the title to accommodate all the so cal MLB teams. This way i dont get it in my head that Fouts Fan is trolling us Padres fans. lol

I look forward to this offseason when the Dodgers purchase all the best players again. Cease and King. Tucker. All Dodgers is my prediction.
