Interesting considering we were what near dead last in rushing not 2 years ago? Our head coach preached he would improve us and indeed has done so. Ekeler has blossomed into a force. Gordon still is a good back too. Together they keep a fresh attack on the ground and really fit the pass attack well.

The coacesand TT deserve some credit.

I dont think anyone was more vocal about drafting him than me. I feel like hes my son and finally proving himself. lol. He even ignores me when i praise him on social media. Just like my son.

Makes the Mike Williams pick an odd one imo. I had questioned the pick when we made it because i knew the goal was to be the best running team in the league. I guess the goal was to make sure we could strike a defense with every possible scenario. Sell out to stop the run....deal with our monster pass attack. Given Ekeler wasnt on the team when we made the pick....i still think the goal was to run the ball better than everyone else. Hence the Lynn signing.

Now that offenses are so protected by rules....im starting to think teams will continue to draft heavy offense. Making stud defenders drop into the 2nd round.

I say let them reach. We should take take BPA early in every draft. Targeting PON before round 4 can lead to disaster.

Ive always been a BPA guy. I thought Hooker fit both BPA and need. lol Then he got hurt with the Colts. Not sure how hes even doing this year. I love Mike Will tho. I only questioned it based on the fact we were leaning so much towards an aggressive rush attack. I also really wanted McCaffrey. We think Ekeler/Gordon is great think about McCaffrey/Gordon?

Especially out of the slot. Gordon really only needed help on the OL i realize now. But i wanted McCaffrey because Gordon was struggling and i thought we could use McCaffrey in the slot.

It sure is nice scoring Ekeler as i think it shows in some way that my McCaffrey pick was right based on what the team wanted to do in the run game. Only we got that type of player for free.
