Hardwick not good news, but not surprising. Watch that video after the play.

Hardwick is not going to play this week. I just don't see it. Not good for him and not good for the team. Coach D better be working up the third string center, just in case. Who is it, Troutman? Schilling?

He was staggering as soon as Malealuga gave him that hit, I'm not surprised it was a concussion.

Maybe Coach was wise in resting Mathews that 2nd half, I hope Weddle hammy is just got tight nothing serious, we need our secondary at full strength. Hardwick will be missed if he can't go, but if Ohrnberger can man up like he did against Cincy we will be okay, Cincy D-line is far more physical than Denvers.

If he is diagnosed with a concussion, doesn't he HAVE to sit out 1 game (at least)?

I don't know, Q. I think he just has to pass the tests, whatever they are.

I think Weddle is a rest thing, probably not a real injury. But just going on my gut.

I think players are evaluated at the end of the week (which is why Welker was not eligible to play against us on Thursday).

I think you have to be symptom free and pass all the neurological tests to play. And some of those tests have to be so many days after. I do think you can play the following Sunday, but I think most guys miss at least 1 game.

Ohrnberger is a better run blocker then Hardwick, so in this game I think we would be OK. Where I think he would struggle is that he has only a fraction of the experience making line calls that Hardwick does. Add on it that he is not as good a pass blocker, it could really hurt against a team that plays a much aggressive blitz package. But, Denver's blitzes tend to be more like ours, designed to get their players isolated so that offenses cannot double team their best pass rushers, I don't think it is as serious.

Since next game is at altitude, I doubt that he'll play. Regular headaches felt like migraines when I've been in Denver.
